Effective January 3, 2006, the Nebraska Secretary of State will make available broader search logic for the non-UCC liens available in the central index. UCC Liens will continue to be searched using the strict rules as provided by RA9. Non-UCC liens, which include federal tax liens, state tax liens, judgments and other statutory liens, will now be searched using a wildcard methodology. This new search option will be available online and in office.
